    Here's an audio example

    R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth.
    The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice;
    let the many islands be glad.
    Justice and judgment are the foundation of his throne.
    R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth.
    The heavens proclaim his justice,
    and all peoples see his glory.
    All gods are prostrate before him.
    R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth.
    You, O LORD, are the Most High over all the earth,
    exalted far above all gods.
    R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth.

    Around here, we like to pretend that Easter VII doesn't exist... We couldn't possibly expect people to come to Ascension Mass during the week..

    @ BachLover2: trade secret... :-D

    @ Matthewj: I agree with you that it doesn't make sense to move Ascension THURSDAY to Sunday. However, I also know that "obedience is better than sacrifice..."

    What do you think the answer is to this? The 1962 Missal? Or allowing people the option to celebrate Ascension Thursday on Thursday? Or taking away the Holy Day of Obligation status?
