This Psalm, (Video link) in honor of Blessed Thomas Percy, is an example of the type of score you can find at the Chabanel Psalms Site. VIDEOS for this Psalm, Audio Mp3 Recordings, Numerous Other Free Settings, Sheet Music Scores for Organist & Vocalist, Practice Mp3's, & Congregational Inserts (Gregorian and Modern) for the 5th Sunday of Easter, Year C, can be foundby clicking HERE.
We currently offer more than 2,000 free Responsorial Psalm scores. The St. Noël Chabanel Responsorial Psalms site was produced by Corpus Christi Watershed, and many generous Chabanel guest composers have donated their fine works.
R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth. The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad. Justice and judgment are the foundation of his throne. R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth. The heavens proclaim his justice, and all peoples see his glory. All gods are prostrate before him. R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth. You, O LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods. R. The Lord is king, the most high over all the earth.
@ Matthewj: I agree with you that it doesn't make sense to move Ascension THURSDAY to Sunday. However, I also know that "obedience is better than sacrifice..."
What do you think the answer is to this? The 1962 Missal? Or allowing people the option to celebrate Ascension Thursday on Thursday? Or taking away the Holy Day of Obligation status?
