Base Pay: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 + benefits as per Diocese of Phoenix

The Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes is seeking a Director of Sacred Music and Liturgical Ministries for one of the two Churches belonging to the parish. The parish is a predominantly senior community but one that also has a small but growing younger population. We are looking for a musician with experience in parish ministry for a full time position beginning July, 2010. Requirements include: good organ and vocal skills; planning and coordinating all Sacred Music needed for the parish; playing the organ and cantoring at three weekend Masses and at all Holy Day Masses; directing the choir for the fourth weekend Mass as well as special Sacred Liturgies such as during Holy Week; planning and directing all weekly choir rehearsals; directing and managing all cantors and instrumentalists; providing Sacred Music for Funerals and Marriages; managing all Liturgical Ministries for Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He or she must have a firm fidelity to the Magisterium, the Council Documents of Vatican II, the General Instruction of the Roman Missal and the directives of our Holy Father and the Diocese. The salary will be commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant.
