I'm new to this site, first time poster, just wanted to let as many interested parties as possible know that I will be premiering a mass at Webster University in St. Louis this April 22nd. I'm graduating in May with a degree in Composition, and this premier will be during my senior recital. It's the first mass I've ever written, and only my second piece of sacred music, but it's been a really great experience and I look forward to continuing in this vein.
Hopefully, I'll be given ample opportunity to compose and premier new pieces with the choir of St. Francis DeSales Oratory, whom I currently sing with. This is also a great experience and anyone in the St. Louis area should really come check it out, it's the only Latin mass in town, and the music is really something special.
I'll be posting a little bit of the mass as soon as I get a pdf worked out.
The details of the recital, for those interested, are as follows:
Thursday, April 22nd 8 P.M. - Webster University - Community Music School Concert Hall
There will plenty of other music on the program, including a good bit of other choral music.
