    Thank you in advance for your help with this Christmas Ambrosian chant piece:

    Venite omnis creatura
    adoremus Dominum,
    qui illuxit nobis:
    quem praedicaverunt prophetae
    a Moyse usque ad Joannem Baptistam.
    Hodie apparuit Christus,
    Deus de Deo,
    lumen de lumine.

    We've attempted to pick this apart, but would appreciate a more accurate translation.

    let us worship the Lord,
    who has given us light:
    whom the prophets foretold
    from Moses to John the Baptist.
    Today Christ has appeared,
    God from God,
    light from light.

    Yes, quite. I would suggest, however, adding a nuance to the 5th line, indicating the scope. From Moses all the way to John the Baptist.
