Adaptations to the Missale Romanum for the dioceses of the United States: passed.

    That's 100%.

Somehow I think Bishop Serratelli's fumbling of the word "proclaimability" was deliberate. And super funny. "Procla... procla... the ability to be proclaimed." Heh.

Passed implies approved by the Holy see? Or it can be still disapproved by the Vatican? (I hope this is not such a naive question.)

You are right, Mia. Passed by the conference, the translations are now submitted for recognitio by the Holy See.

However, since the Holy See established the principles of translation and the translations were made with Liturgiam Authenticam in mind, I would imagine that the recognitio will be quickly given.

You can take "passed" to mean that enough of the USCCB bishops agree
that the version currently in front of them can be put in the mail to the Vatican.
Then the Vatican grades it, pass (recognitio) or fail (silence?).

Did you not mean to title this thread "Envotification...?"

    "Votation", feh, that's barely Latinese!

Not yet. The bishops voted to keep it, but Rome gets to decide whether to allow it.

...and from the heavens came forth the dew of the Holy Spirit in an ineffable manner, and also, in view of the mercy of God, we tell out with one voice the hymn of the angels and saints in heaven.

Thanks, Chonak. I wonder whether there are any other countries has similar acclamation as' Christ has died ...' Also any other languages went through revisions of the Missal with Pope Benedict XVI?
