    Friends,

Just to let you know, earlier today my wife and I attended Sunday Vespers at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

It was really wonderful --- really splendid. There were about twenty men who chanted,
with marvelous organ accompaniment, and it was spectacular.

One of the most amazing parts was the Magnificat, which was sung to a (Quarti Toni) melody very similar to

    this piece.

Again, the chanting, done by wonderful men's voices, was spectacular ---- as was the procession by the Bishops and Cardinals.

The booklet they put together was MARVELOUS. The chant was reproduced very cleanly. Someone is doing a lot of work.
