On Friday I sang in a small choir on the local cable channel "CatholicTV", under the direction of CMAA member Elizabeth Pifer, director of music at St Clement's Eucharistic Shrine in Boston. We were there as part of the channel's fund-raising telethon, in our first experience of live TV.
We sang a recent composition based on plainchant, an Ave Verum by young composer Patrick Valentino, part of his series "Ritual Chants". Here is an MP3 of the work.
Although the studio performance used a piano, the works are scored for organ and one other instrument (e.g., flute or viola).
