Tech geniuses…

Due to life events, I have not been as organized as I originally intended to be and keeping track of repertoire across the years. However, we make a leaflet every week. These are actually in a very orderly file system. Titles and folders correspond to the liturgical day. And the leaflets have a very consistent format. in addition, I have digital files for years of leaflets prior to when I arrived that I would like to incorporate into the dataset.

I was using Gemini to go through them and extract / organize the repertoire onto a table. It actually did the work very well, including putting the same liturgical day across several years into the same row of the table, but couldn’t seem to grasp, because of how it interacts with the file system, the scope of what I was asking to do. It would not comprehensively organize the files, but the files that it decided to organize were correct.

Is there something missing with Gemini, or does anyone know a better agent to crawl these files for this information and organize it into a table?

Essentially hitherto, month by month I review comprehensively everything that I did for the liturgical days that are coming up for the past several years. However, this year, I am more directly managing our sister parish’s programming as well, and so I actually need to plan out entire years (I normally hate annual planning because nothing ever really goes according to plan, but this year it’s an absolute necessity to at least have something on the table). Having this table will greatly streamline the process.

Also, bear in mind, I am an above average computer user from the 90s and early 2000s. I am not however, very clever the way that used to be on Windows 98. Please explain this all to me like I’m an idiot.

The nice thing is that this is really just for planning purposes. I will also really be able to spot GIGO from a mile away, so even if it makes a mistake or two, as long as it’s generally reliable that that’s perfectly fine.
