Does anyone have a set of like 400 old hymnals?
  • Hi there! I'm asking on behalf of a Catholic high school. It really doesn't matter if the books are tattered or contain quasi-liturgical nonsense, as long as they span from "All Creatures of our God and King" to "Here I Am, LORD". Something like old Gather or Journeysongs I or even Worship II. Bonus points if it is from post-2010.

And here I was thinking you were looking for old hymnals as in CBWII from the 70s. I don even know what qualifies as old anymore.

I wish I could help you out, but I don't think my pastor would welcome a change of hymnals from Journeysongs to something more "traditional". We have about 300 copies of the 2nd Edition, but I am certain our pastor isn't open to much (musical) change right now. Hopefully you can find what you're looking for!

I wonder if sacredmusiclibrary.com has any bulk pricing on their softcover hymnals. That wouldn't be the same as free, but it might be attainable for the parish/school.

  • I have tons of old 2-part St. Gregory hymnals I'm willing to sell at a reasonable price.

same with Gregorian chant… speaking from years of experience, seems to be the most natural thing in the world for them.
