For Christmas, 1968, I was organist for the Franciscan Friars Choir at Duns Scotus College, Southfield, MI. We used a Mass Ordinary, Missa Oecumenica, with brass accompaniment from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The music was beautiful. I have tried over the past few years to find a copy of that Mass with little luck. There is a Missa Oecumenica composed by Richard Proulx in 1999, but that is not the mass I am searching for. Do you have access or know how I might obtain a copy of the Missa Oecumenica that was around in 1968? Thanks, Al.
According to the WorldCat database, World Library Publications published a Missa Oecumenica by Camil van Hulse in 1962, for TTB, populo, organ, and brass. Could this be the one? The University of Colorado-Boulder has a copy, if interlibrary loan is a possibility for you.
There was a thread on this forum some time ago about Camil van Hulse.
Alexander Grechaninov also wrote a Missa Oecumenica, but it doesn't appear to include brass.
