"The Lord is my Shepherd" CRIMOND phrasing

Crimond is a popular setting, but I always thought the music, as commonly played with a pause after the minim 'lie' and 'me', did not match the text phrasing well.
He makes me down to lie / in pastures green he leadeth me / the quiet waters by.

Is there another setting that sounds more like
He lets me lie down in green pastures / he leads me by quiet waters.

But in seriousness, Crimond just requires intentional phrasing that respects the text. Don't added a fermata halfway through, keep the pulse throughout. Don't break the sound in the voices or the organ if the line doesn't end with a punctuation mark; do break if there is a comma mid-line (he makes me down to lie_in pastures green, he leadeth me_the quiet waters by).

    I like Howard Goodall's tune :)
Thanks for the practical advice too.
