Hello, I am leading Vespers at my parish for our church rededication, and I'm wondering if anyone has organ accompaniment for the Gregorian hymn "Angularis Fundamentum."
Aha. I asked only because the hymn incipit that you gave is the portion for Lauds which Neale repurposed as Christ is made the sure foundation (which we’re doing after Mass next week; we’ll save the chant for the office).
Right, the melody is the same for the two portions of the hymn; dividing a longer text is not uncommon in the Roman rite, although two separate hymns with different melodies a and even meters, or even 3 (Vespers, Matins, Lauds) is also pretty common.
