Home observance of the Church year
  • Grace and peace, everyone. The All Saints Triduum is nearly upon us and I am greatly looking forward to our parish's observance, which is to include a Rosary walk in a nearby cemetery. I'm curious to know what others do to mark the Triduum and other times of the Christian year at home. I have no small children to dress up, but I'm thinking of baking something special---ossi morti or pan de muertos maybe---and singing hymns (though not "I sing a song of the saints of God").

    What about you?
  • Alternatively, home is totally the place to sing "I sing a song of the saints of God." It's catchy, not horribly unorthodox in its theology, and somewhat funny. Doing it in church is where I draw the line!
