For those of you coming to the Twin Cities a day or two early, you'd have an opportunity to see a rare operetta, a dramatic retelling of Our Lady's miraculous appearances to Juan Diego in 1531. Inspired by Pope Pius XII's 1946 declaration of Our Lady of Guadalupe as the Patroness of the Americas, Mother Mary Francis, P.C.C., Abbess of the Poor Clares in Roswell, New Mexico, along with Fr. Joseph Roff, a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York, created an operetta called Counted As Mine. At the behest of Raymond Cardinal Burke, the operetta will be performed by a professional cast from the Twin Cities, with full sets, lighting and small orchestra, on June 21 & 22. La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis. Information and tickets are available here: https://guadalupeshrine.org/post/events/counted-as-mine-operetta/
