Evening Prayer for Sundays and Solemnities

    I am releasing my English adaptation of (mostly) Antiphonale Romanum II (Solesmes 2009), using the texts from Christian Prayer: The Liturgy of the Hours (1976) (despairing as I am of living to see anything like a new translation of the Office), with hymn translations from ICEL (2019) and Prayers from the current Missal. In order to avoid copyright issues (I hope), I am offering these collections for download on Lulu.com at their nominal rate and without profit to myself:

    Volume 1: Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany
    Volume 2: Lent, Easter, and Solemnities
    Volume 3: Sundays in Ordinary Time
    Volume 4: Feasts of Saints

    This all should be self-explanatory, though it supposes at least some familiarity with the layout of the Office, the reading of square notes (with minimal rhythmic signs), and the use of traditional psalm tones (applied to English in my own debatable way). Feel free to contact me with questions or comments. I hope some might find the material helpful, if only as a guide to your own efforts in producing material for the Divine Office.

    A thousand, million, billion, vigintillion thanks to you good sir for this, which appears as a labor of love rendered to all the laity for whom the Office is not only a regular part, but a veritable anchor of, their daily prayer-lives as members of the Mystical Body!

    Yes...we know the new, improved translation of the office "is coming", but so is the parousia. Thank you for this gift "in time".

    WOWWWWW, this is absolutely amazing!!! What a labor of love and a gift to the Church. Your Communio with English verses is one of my favorite chant volumes of all time. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!
