Does anyone in this forum use organ versets routinely in psalmody at Mass? e.g. Communio - Psalm Verse - Organ Verset - Communio.

I’d be most interested to hear from other organists whose works they’re using and where/how. The applications in the Office are obvious enough but it would be terrific to hear about successful repurposings for Mass.
  • I use them, but typically not for their original intended purposes. Normally I find myself using them as filler before/after the gospel procession.

Yeah. Ours uses versets at the offertory when the choir is absent.

I have used them regularly in previous jobs. I made this for Easter one year: https://docs.google.com/document/d/139deK1a5vyaf3RwggkfEcIsSpqrMe-3LFrti_k4IYMk/edit?tab=t.0

I always have an heir and a spare for introit if service begins after listed time. Ditto for offertory motets and communion motets or hymns. Our priest is not a lover of organ music or lengthy motets/anthems. However, he insists that I have "filler" music when he is not ready or communion is longer than usual. I thank Raison, Frescobaldi, and the Couperins.
