Organ versets

    Does anyone in this forum use organ versets routinely in psalmody at Mass? e.g. Communio - Psalm Verse - Organ Verset - Communio.

    I’d be most interested to hear from other organists whose works they’re using and where/how. The applications in the Office are obvious enough but it would be terrific to hear about successful repurposings for Mass.

    I use them, but typically not for their original intended purposes. Normally I find myself using them as filler before/after the gospel procession.

    Yeah. Ours uses versets at the offertory when the choir is absent.
