Remember that the file must have a name (and only that, the rest is optional) and semicolons come at the end of the header lines. The annotation header is not deprecated but is not needed although it’s helpful to keep track of the score info (and would be helpful/necessary for using Source and Summit’s editor). The idea is that you use Gregorio directly and use the greannotation command. Relying on the header does weird things (I use old style numbers from my font of choice but would get lining figures when the header information was used instead of greannotation.
