I was wondering if anyone here has any insight on the composer whose name is listed as "Planque"? This arrangement appeared in the St. Basil's hymnal from 1925 thru 1953. I found some information on a F. Munro Planque who was a musician, piano teacher, and had is own mandolin orchestra of about 40 members called the Serenader's Club. He was from Vancouver, B.C. His name is featured in a number of music periodicals for guitar, banjo, and mandolin. However, I can't find anything connecting him to church music. So I am doubtful if I have the right person.

This has to be D. Planque (18??-19??), who published a TTB setting of "O Cor Amoris" in 1926.

    @ CHGiffen
thank you, I did some digging on the internet this morning and it appears he composed another organ piece Bone pastor, panis vere in F major

Here is a record for his O Cor Amoris the musical incipit matches the music from the St. Basil's hymnal.

This is part of a larger collection of 20 organ pieces dating from 1875 - 1924.

I have a question about the time signature of this hymn. What is indicated is 2/4 but the notes suggest 3/4. I'm thinking the 2/4 is a mistake?

Indeed, the time signature should be 3/4.
