Is There a Searchable Chant Database?

I'd like to find a database that can be used to answer questions like these:

What antiphons are used with psalm tone 4d?
Is that tone only found in old publications? (or What is the publication date of each?)
In those publications, what percentage of mode 4 antiphons use tone 4d?

Does GregoBase have any search features that can help with questions like these? Are there other resources that might help?

The antiphonale synopticum http://gregorianik.uni-regensburg.de/an/ will search by mode number but not by more precise detail.

    No.

And the other chant databases available are concerned with medieval sources, not with modern editions. (There is one dealing specifically with differentiae / psalm tone endings: https://differentiaedatabase.ca/ )

I have the GregoBase db dump and some other publicly available datasets imported in a private chant database (source code https://github.com/igneus/adiutor/ ). It can provide some answers, but is very much limited by the data available. Reliable answers would require much more extensive and systematically prepared data.

Right. Adding the differentia to GB is very much welcome, FKulash.

Tbh I want a search function but the code behind GB needs work. And Olivier is…unreachable.

(This really deals with manuscripts, but you might find answers that way.)

Thanks, Tomjaw! Globalchant looks like a great tool for answering other types of questions, but I don't see how it helps with questions like "What antiphons are associated with tone 4d", or even "What antiphons are in mode 4?". Am I missing something?

It is a shame that it does not allow to search by mode, or antiphon but you can order the search results by mode and by Genre. so with a bit of work you could get some idea of how many antiphons are say in mode 4.

It may be worth asking for an output of the database with just the antiphons ordered by mode.
