With soprano/alto places almost full on our Epiphany Singing Retreat, we're pleased to offer a £50 discount for tenors/basses until we achieve a balance of voices on a first come, first served basis. The perfect holiday gift for singers!
Cambridge Choral Academy (Artistic Director: Dr Edward Wickham) brings together experienced singers and choral directors from all over the world to sing in glorious chapels under world-class music directors, staying in historic Cambridge colleges. Our Epiphany Singing Retreat is a cosy, candle-lit weekend to brighten the long January nights. With Compline and Evensongs in historic chapels, workshops, talks from leading academics, vocal health sessions and a sumptuous Twelfth Night Dinner, we’ll enjoy a kingly feast of repertoire for Epiphany - including wassailing! The medieval music traditions of this post-Christmas period produced some of the most ground-breaking music of all time.
Cambridge UK is probably the most intensive square mile of choral singing on the planet, and Cambridge Choral Academy presents the opportunity to experience this extraordinary world from the inside, with three courses through the year. Our courses focus on liturgical repertoire and are limited to 30-40 singers, reflecting the chamber choir tradition of the colleges. Repertoire spans chant, psalmody, Renaissance polyphony, masterpieces of the 20th century and choral music from living composers.
The warm camaraderie at CCA also creates opportunities for building new friendships with people who share your passion for choral music – good music, good friends, good times. Why not join one of our courses in 2025?
For more information visit www.cambridegchoral.com or email hello@cambridgechoral.com. A limited number of Student Scholarships are available for singers aged 18-25yrs.
