St. Helen’s Catholic Church is nestled along the eastern side of Florida. This coastal city boasts of a burgeoning Catholic community which has been in the area since our inception in 1919. We are looking for a director of sacred music who will accompany our community in growing in its liturgical awareness of the richness of our Catholic tradition. Any candidate considered for the position will need to be a practicing Catholic in good standing, versed in playing the organ, Gregorian chant, polyphony, directing adult and children choirs, a good leader, a proficient communicator and competent teacher to assist with music direction in our school.
Our church community has approximately 3,300 families with 6 Sunday liturgies which include a 4pm Saturday vigil and 5 Masses on Sunday. We will be starting daily Mass for the children at the school in August 2024. Music requirements will entail at least one Mass a month with music for the students aged pre-K to 8th grade.
