Lent 3 approaches, and with it the remarkable gregorian communion proper "Passer invenit", which paints the flight of sparrow and swallow (or turtle-dove, in earlier translations). For your interest, here is my adaptation of the chant from the Vatican Edition to the text in the Ordinariates' Divine Worship, together with the versions from the Plainsong Gradual and the Vatican Edition, plus a psalm-tone setting, for comparison. We'll be singing my adaptation this weekend.
