Hymns about the Eucharist

    I'd like to invite discussion of my article on Eucharistic hymnody. https://www.wordonfire.org/articles/how-to-sing-about-the-blessed-sacrament/

    I list a few priorities there. One is based on St. Thomas Aquinas' conception of creation as in the process of exitus-reditus, going forth from God and returning to God, thanks to the salvation won for us by Jesus Christ.

    I was wondering if anyone would like to put forth their own ideas, so that we can think further about this together!

    I received the link to the article a couple of days ago. It is really wonderful. I particularly appreciated the discussion about the inadequacy of human community and divine effort. I passed it along to my Pastor and to the community for consumption. I think it really covered the bases.
