I am preparing to work on a project which will involve a lot of psalmody (in English) set to Gregorian tones.
Before I monkey with Gregorio, does anyone know of a place I could get suitable graphics of the 9 psalm tones with their several variants, in square notes, with no text underneath, suitable for printing atop a block of pointed text? I’m looking for something nice and clean, not a scan from an old book. A PDF with multiple tones or individual PNGs would suit me fine. In the past I’ve just cropped from various scans, but I’d like to have a clean start.
Something like this, but not riddled with odd spacing, compound neumes broken apart…?
I’ve made my own with GABC and put them here. Each is sized to fit comfortably across a letter-sized sheet, without breaking lines. I’ve got 18 right now that will suit my needs. Will make more if I get in a situation requiring different terminations.
