St. Theresa’s Palatine is searching for an Accompanist/Musician for the weekly Saturday 5:00pm Mass and other additional liturgies throughout the year. This talented, liturgically conscious musician will play piano and organ, lead the congregation in sung prayer, direct a volunteer ensemble of singers and instrumentalists, and work with a professional cantor at each liturgy. They will work seamlessly with clergy and other church staff to make the music at worship as prayerful and beautiful as possible.

Reports to:
Director of Music

Regular Hours:
Most Saturdays, 5:00-6:00pm plus setup and cleanup time (setup around 4:00 when volunteer ensemble is present, and around 4:30 when ensemble is not present)

Compensation:
$140 (when volunteer ensemble is present) OR $120 (when ensemble is not present) per service,
equaling over $5K annually

Additional hours (if desired):
Masses on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, funerals and weddings throughout the year, any liturgies in the Director of Music’s absence; all paid in addition to regular hours
