Turns out all of my sopranos will be gone next Sunday, so I'm thinking of having just my men sing for Lent 1. Any suggestions for a piece I could get ready in about 20-30 minutes in my Wednesday rehearsal? Preferably no more than 3 parts . . .

A while back I downloaded a book of trios "Secunda Anthologia Vocalis" ed. Orestes Ravanello from the Musica Sacra site (http://www.musicasacra.com/pdf/secunda.pdf). Incredible collection of short trios in various ranges by a wide variety of composers including Palestrina, Vittoria, etc. Download and enjoy.

    Dear Heath,

    I just uploaded this:

    3-part Men's TANTUM ERGO

It is a TANTUM ERGO for 3-part men. (or 3-part women an octave higher)

If you like it, you can listen to the PRACTICE CD's and get the score here:

Chabanel Psalms (towards the bottom of the page)

I am very glad I was able to assist Jeffrey Tucker in putting up the Oreste Ravanello book, because I think it is WONDERFUL --- not the deepest music in the world, but people in the pews LOVE praying to this music. And it is relatively easy to put together at rehearsal.

Jeffrey Tucker continues to do the world AMAZING services, and no one pays him back for it! He gives of himself constantly. He will be rewarded in Heaven.
