I recently discovered the Ton Royale used for the Magnificat at Notre Dame in Paris. I decided to set the English text of the Magnificat to this same psalm tone. I was being indecisive on how exactly I wanted to set the text, so I ended up doing it two different settings. The first setting retains the same opening phrase used for the Latin version while the second does not. PDFs of the first setting are attached to this post (three different keys: Eb, F, and G). The second will be attached to the next post. I hope someone can get some use out of these.
