Update: they have a choir singing some Stanford and Bruckner quite nicely. The Pontifical Mass is starting soon, so I'm excited to see what the Mass setting is.
I will say, for thé size of that church, I was rather flabbergasted when I saw how diminutive the height of the loft was, and the quimby is a relatively modest instrument. They are also placing a smaller instrument down in a transept to accompany daily masses. For the “all out” effort they made, the organs were one instance of comparable restraint (and mild disappointment, if I’m honest). That’s not to say the quimby isn’t a fine instrument. Just that I would have expected such an edifice to have a more substantial offering.
It is small but they did note that the organ can be expanded. I suspect it will be in the future. At this time they probably don't have unlimited funds with a new building. One of those rich Trads is going to have to leave a bequest.
