It is with sadness I have learned of the death a one-time colleague of mine, American organbuilder Richard Schneider, who has left us at age 68. Rich was not only a master organbuilder and an artistic craftsman of the highest degree, dedicated to creating beautiful instruments on which organists could render due praise and glory to Our Creator in liturgy and worship, but also a devout and God-fearing Christian man who was a dutiful husband to his wife of 47 years and raised three wonderful children. I will be writing a more detailed tribute to him in the near future which I will send to all interested parties upon completion. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon them. May the soul of Richard Schneider, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace!
