Burial of the Alleluia

Is anyone familiar with the tradition of burying the Alleluia? If so, do you know where I could find the actual liturgical ritual in print?

We have usually taken a card with the Alleluia on processed to the garden singing the Hymn, and then blessed and buried the card with the Alleluia.

To my understanding it is not an actual liturgical act, so how it is done varies greatly from place to place and there is no existing ritual to follow.

I read that Pope Alexander II laid down a sober and simple procedure, but not what that was.

In the U.S., it is chiefly an Anglican custom. Jackson would be the person to ask about this.

We have a plaque of the alleluia that I’ve made that our priests carry in procession at the end of mass to a side altar and then cover with a white shroud. We sing ‘Alleluia Song of Gladness’ during this time which I’ve attached and you’re most welcome to use. I took for our model a video I found of Cantius one time.
