Recordings of the Graduale Simplex

Hi All!

I have recently undertaken the process of recording the chants of the Graduale Simplex. Anyone who might be interested can find them at my channel here -> https://www.youtube.com/@churchminor

After purchasing a copy of the Simplex, I noticed a lack of available recordings, something that I find very useful when trying to learn a new repertoire; So I am hoping this can be of service to someone in a similar situation. :)

I have recorded two collections of chants from the Graduale Simplex: By Flowing Waters and Lord, By Your Cross and Resurrection.

By Flowing Waters https://litpress.org/Products/7949/By-Flowing-Waters contains twenty-five chants.

Lord, By Your Cross and Resurrection https://litpress.org/Products/7951/Lord-by-Your-Cross-and-Resurrection contains forty psalms and canticles, together with thirty-nine antiphons, five hymns, and four other chants.

There used to be a website run by I think either the Franciscans of the Immaculate sisters, or the Virgin of Matera ones which had a good number of the Graduale Simplex recordings in mp3. I wish I had saved it, but I lost all my bookmarks with the last computer.

Thanks for this. My greatest challenge with chant is the flow and feel of how it should be sung. I also don’t know how to explain it to people trying to learn. These types of resources are invaluable for people trying to get chant started.
