My earlier "Ave Maria a 8" for mixed voices (SSMzACtTBarB) has undergone some revision (nothing too major, but a better outcome), which came about in a just completed arrangement of this work for men's voices (voiced as a double choir, CtTBarB.CtTBarB, although the counter-tenors are essentially just high tenors or altos). I just posted the scores at CPDL, but here also is a Dropbox link which contains scores, mp3 sound simulations, and score videos for both works.
On this eve (August 2nd) of what would have been the 87th birthday of my late sister, Jane (an accomplished soprano and pianist), I hope you find these settings comforting. Tomorrow, August 3rd, also marks a year since the passing of our beloved pet dachshund, Java.
You have a work performed by the choir at St. Thomas NYC. Conservatory-trained ensemble singers in the Anglican tradition means that they could sing anything. See if they'll sing this at Mass!
