Duties
-Direct two children’s choirs, including leading weekly rehearsals and conducting them at 9AM Mass about seven times throughout the choir season (September-May).
-Provide basic instruction in music literacy, vocal technique, and the meaning and structure of liturgy.
-Collaborate with Director of Music on selection of appropriate music, creation, preparation, and distribution of rehearsal aids through the internet, and active recruitment of new choir members.
-Perform administrative duties including preparing and distributing music, setting up and tearing down the rehearsal space, maintaining attendance records, communicating with families, and other duties as necessary.

Distribution of Hours
Varies weekly based on whether children are singing at Mass.
Rehearsal/Mass: 2-4 hrs/week
Administrative tasks: 2-4 hrs/week

Description of Choirs
K-3 Children’s Choir
Rehearsal Time: Sunday, 12:00-12:45PM
When singing at 9AM Mass with the Youth Choir: rehearsal time 8-8:45AM
4-8 Youth Choir
Rehearsal Time: Sunday, 9-10AM
When singing at 9AM Mass with the Children’s Choir: rehearsal time 8-8:45AM

The existing choir structure and rehearsal schedule are not set in stone and may be subject to adjustments if requested.
