    Rosemary Radford Reuther has died, at the age of 85. She was an ardent opponent of right thinking and right living, and now she has gone for her particular judgment.
    May God have mercy on her soul.

    I heard her speak in 1987 at Notre Dame in South Bend. She was the first of a number of feminist theologians that I heard that summer (along with Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza and the really radical Mary Daly). Reuther was mild in comparison to Mary Daly and resonated with a lot of the students. We had to read her but as I look back on her writing, I find it rather lost in a sea of rage for its own sake. Oh well.
