Just wanted to know if anyone from Musica Sacra will be attending the Anglican Use conference at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
It would be nice to see some Musica Sacra folks attend!
Raulus - Are you, perchance, AU? I, as a member of Our Lady of Walsingham, the host parish, will be there - as will several non-AU CMAA members from the Houston area. We ask for all your prayers for a successful conference, at which our Cardinal-Archbishop will give the key-note address and celebrate a Solemn Pontifical High Mass according to the Anglican Use on Friday evening.
I think we have had this conversation before....but I am a former parishioner of Our Lady of the Atonement (San Antonio), but now live in the Oklahoma City area. I will be attending the conference in Houston...I look forward to meeting you there!
I am looking forward to Cardinal DiNardo's presence at the conference.

The propers were in English, the ordinary in Latin
All three Readings were sung
His Emminence preached on Psalm 104 and sang the canon
(He is, as many know, an ardent encourager of Singing The Liturgy - and there was Nothing that he neglected to sing)
His keynote address, following a fine banquet, was about the theology of Athanasius and Hillary of Poitiers,
and closed with observations about J. H. Newman. Of particular interest was that the Church of St Eusebius in
Rome is where Newman received instruction in the Catholic faith and happens to be Cardinal DiNardo's titular church.
We are grateful for the oecumenical theology of Vatican II, and H. H. John Paul II who ushered us into the barque of St Peter.
We are also grateful that our Cardinal has a genuine interest in seeing the Anglican Use flourish.
