Here is a new hymn of mine, tune named for Bl. Carlo Acutis. It is especially intended for use at Benediction in Advent but could easily, I think, work for Christ the King as well. Enjoy.
I'm glad you reminded me of this. I regret not thinking of it for last week. I will wait through advent now (seems a bit big to me for that) but I will definitely be putting this before my congregation.
Thanks, ServiamScores! As it happens, I was trying to remember why I thought this was for Advent specifically. Maybe I started writing it with that in mind, but it seems to me now to fit Christ the King---or Benediction in all seasons---much better. (Should you choose to use it in whatever season, do let me know---I'll indicate that on my website.)
1. Hail, Jesus truly present, spotless Lamb in glory! Hail, Prince of Peace who reigns in courts of dazzling light! Singing with saints and angels, we proclaim You holy: Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!
2. Hail, Savior truly present, Son for sinners given! Hail, Man who died and rose that we might taste of God! Ransomed, we cry Hosannas to the heights of Heaven: Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!
3. Hail, Shepherd truly present, Great High Priest victorious! Seeing Your priests at prayer, Our Lady smiles once more; Daily from hopeful lips arise the anthems glorious:: Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!
4. Hail, Bridegroom truly present, King of all the nations! Though this unfaithful world deny You to the end, Still shall the wedding-song resound through all creation: Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!
