TENOR SECTION LEADER

The Parish Choir of Saint Margaret of Antioch is currently looking for a tenor section leader. The parish is located at 115 West Central Ave, Pearl River, New York. Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoon at 5:00pm in the choir loft. Sung Choral Mass is at 10:30am on Sunday with a 9:50am call time. The choir sings a wide range of choral literature and the candidate should be comfortable being the only tenor in the ensemble.

General Qualities Sought
1. Control over vocal color, with flexibility to navigate a spectrum of light and dark tone
2. Technical control over vibrato, from molto vibrato to senza vibrato
3. Comfortability and experience in singing choral repertoire as the only tenor.
4. Ability to vocally lead a section while complementing a uniform ensemble sound
5. Excellent sight-singing skills and strong abilities as a soloist
6. A collegial approach to participation to ensure an environment of respect and care for others
