I've been trying to reproduce a Proper for a fellow Tenor and I can't seem to come up with the "v" indicating the Verse to be sung in a Gradual. It looks like it has some kind of vertical slash through the left side of the letter. Does anyone know what font would have that abbreviation in it? Thanks.
Do you mean this, ℣ (Versicle) found in the following fonts, Arial Unicode, Caeciliae, Apple symbols... These may also be useful ℟ (Response) and ✠ (Maltese cross).
seanmcd3 - It depends on what program you are using to type. If it is a music setting program, it may well have a special procedure. But if it is a propgram like MS Office (Word), or Libre Office (Writer) it will have an Insert⇨Symbol and most modern fonts use Unicode so will have both ℣ and ℟ built in. To type those symbols in a forum comment box I used Windows Character Map. There is a block of letter-like symbols about 60% of the way through the table, just before a larger block of mathematical symbols (U+2123 & U+211F). You could try a copy and paste from this post!
