Greetings all, I thought I'd share this here just in case any of you could benefit. The lectionary for the 16th Sunday in OT (two weeks from now calls) for "The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want." as the psalm. I've composed a new setting based upon the Dominican communion antiphon "Dominus regit me" which treats the same text. This is in keeping with my other recent threads where I explore the idea of composing new psalm settings based on ancient plainchant. This is a text which gets trotted out not-infrequently (often for funerals too) so here is my offering if you're tired of the (nice but ubiquitous) Alstott. I pushed the limit as far as a congregational refrain is concerned (melismatic) but I think it still doable. If anyone ever needs just the refrain melody extracted for a worship aid let me know and I'll happily whip one up for you.
