Can’t say I know too much about him, but Roche was bishop of Leeds from ‘04 to ‘12, whose cathedral has a strong music program that features regularly on the BBC. He was also chairman of ICEL during that time and led the translation effort of what became the 2011 Roman Missal. Benedict appointed him secretary of CDW in ‘12. All things considered he seems like a decent pick.
