Motets by - ?!
  • in the Colloquium packet for 2019, under polyphonic choirs, I see this (my emphasis added)
"The choir will sing motets by Palestrina and Brouwers as well as polyphonic Mass parts by Victoria (Kyrie and
Gloria from Missa quarti toni) and Palestrina (Sanctus from Missa aeterna Christi munera)
    ."

Motets by Brouwers? Where are they to be found these days, I wonder?
  • Madame,

Excuse my ignorance, but who is Brouwers, in the first place?

That little box in the upper right with the magnifying glass is a search engine, and will quickly lead you to other pages like this one.

I think you mean the 2018 Colloquium packet, which lists the works you mention. Also, Brouwers led the Polyphony I choir that year - and (fixing something I missed before) he composed the O sacrum convivium that was sung at Communion in the concluding Saturday Mass (pp. 214-216 of the booklet).

  • Richard,
I let myself be led astray by the company: Palestrina, Vittoria, Brouwers.... and figured there was a connection in that time period.
