I know that Thanksgiving is an American secular holiday, but being thankful is a worthwhile activity. So I am thankful for all of you. Even though we have never met I feel as if many of you are my friends.
I am counting you CMAA folk among my blessings, too.
I’ve never thought of Thanksgiving Day as a secular holiday. “Thanksgiving” necessitates a person to whom one is expressing thanks (so obvious that the seculars needed to change the name, even to something as dumb as 'turkey day', to escape the obligation- not that one could ever escape it).
We, on the other hand, know thanks to be a happy obligation Gratias agamus Domino Deo nostro. Dignum et justum est.
