In honor of St. Cecilia day (yesterday), I thought I would share a little-known piece of trivia:
St. Cecilia was actually a giant.

I never knew that, but there it is, plain as day.

(And, I never miss an opportunity to advertise
that other patron saint of music, St Dunstan -
XIth century English monk, bishop, scholar, and maker of musical instruments.
History, though, doesn't record whether he was or wasn't a giant.
Cecilia may be the only saint who was.)

Some said Tina Taiknee's work as a technician of normal-sized organ pipes came despite her small stature, however I have always thought her size was actually an advantage in this line of work.
