In the last chapter of Torkington's "The Hermit", Peter the hermit teaches the book's main character "his signature method of prayer". When he comes to meditating texts, he suggests - apart of the Scripture - to occasionally meditate also selected poems and hymns, and he names some as an example. I would be grateful if someone having the original English version of the book at home would share which hymns are mentioned there. Sharing the whole paragraph dealing with this matter would be even more welcome.
Background: I only know a translation of the book, which (understandably) mentions some local hymns the translator considered good enough, and I would like to compare their overall quality with that of the hymns originally suggested by the author.
