St. Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church in O’Fallon Missouri is hiring tenor and alto staff singers. The singers will serve as a section leader to the choir at the Sunday 10:00 AM Traditional Latin Mass. The current time commitment is Sundays from 9:00 AM until about 11:15 AM. Availability for Christmas and during Holy Week is essential.

Paid staff singers should be competent sight-readers, have excellent intonation, have experience reading Gregorian notation (neumes) or be willing to learn quickly, have experience singing 3-4 part polyphony (1-2 voices per part), and be able to sing effectively as a section leader to skilled volunteers. They are expected to spend time on their own studying/learning/rehearsing their parts, to act professionally while on church property, to closely follow directions, and to be on time.
