Appropriate Ordinary for St Joseph

    Hello all:

    As is my wont, I am learning a feast or solemnity by heart. This season I chose st. Joseph. For no reason. I’m pretty well along on the propers but I found I don’t know which would be the standard or most appropriate Setting for the Ordinary of the Mass. It is a double of the first class, but I see in the Liber Usualis there are five or six masses for doubles. Any ideas?

    De Apostolis, missa IV one might think.

    Egg in my face—Joseph, since changed. Yes, if it had been Matthew, De Apostolis would be it.

    It sounds as if you intend to choose carefully. I second Stimson's suggestions.
