The Pastoral Associate for Music Ministry will take a pastoral approach to serving the parish as the principal musician, organist/pianist, and choral director. S/he will foster the unique charism of Saints John & Paul’s Music Ministry to enhance parishioners’ celebration of liturgy to inspire parishioners to draw closer to God. This full-time position includes providing organ/piano music for all Sunday Masses, Holy Days, and Sacramental Celebrations, as well as funerals and weddings. The individual will rehearse and lead the adult choir, the children's choir, and the funeral choir, as well as supervise the directors of all auxiliary music groups. Qualified applicants will exhibit a sound understanding of sacred music in its various forms (chant, hymnody, and polyphony) and have at least three years of music ministry experience in a church environment.
