Surrexit Christus
  • on Youtube I found a lovely "Surrexit Christus" by Pergolesi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujc6_wX7t0c

several of you already use this SAB piece at Easter; where can I find an a cappella score like the one shown on this video?

GIA publishes this with a continuo/reduction part, edited by Richard Proulx. A great Eastertide go-to.

not an 8 page version with a piano practice score [GIA].
Giovanni Battista Pergolesi died in the 1700s, surely his work is in public domain … somewhere?

My guess is that the so-called Pergolesi Surrexit Christus could well be a contrafactum of some other work (perhaps not even by Pergolesi). This wouldn't be the first (nor the last) time such a thing has transpired.
