Nitida Stella
  • This is a simple and pretty four-part piece that I've heard sung in Brazil in a few traditionalist communities. I am trying to find a good (English) translation of the text, but haven't found any English references to it online. Does anyone know it? Does any have an English translation of the text, set to the same melody (or not)?

Here's a scan of the xerox a friend gave me...

It's apparently a "lauda", a popular religious song from the early Renaissance, and dating to around 1400. That arrangement by Bozan is popular: there are quite a few videos on the net of performances.
