On the Third Sunday after the Epiphany, this has the same Propers (Music) as the 4th, 5th and 6th so we learnt the polyphonic versions so we will sing this,
INT Adorate Deum, Isaac ALL Dominus Regnavit, Isaac OFF Dextera Domini , Palestrina COMM Mirabutur omnes Isaac
I suppose Viola is referring specifically to the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (OF), of which Pope Francis established in his motu proprio Aperuit illis that it is to be "devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God".
But using the proper chants on this Sunday – especially in parishes that predominantly use hymns instead – would certainly be a way to show more clearly "the unbreakable bond between Sacred Scripture and the Eucharist".
IN Dominus secus mare GR Timebunt gentes AL Dominus regnavit OF Dextera Domini CO Venite post me
The proper chants of this Sunday demonstrate a specific quality of God's Word: it has the power to call us to become disciples of Christ, to follow Him and recount his mighty deeds.
